A wedding is the time when family, relatives, and friends are brought together to celebrate a single occasion – the joining of hands of two people whose love is great enough to behold. The bride’s father, mother, sister/s, and brother/s are there to share in her joy as she unites with the man of her choosing. On that note, here is an example of a brother of the bride speech.

A great way to begin your brother of the bride speech is to provide the guests at the wedding with warm and sincere words of welcome. But before anything else, do not forget to introduce yourself to them and to state how you are related to the bride. Note that not every one of them may recognize you and may know who you are, and so don’t neglect this part of your speech. You may say something that goes like this: “A wonderful evening to all of you, ladies and gentlemen! I know that some of you may not recognize me, and so please allow me to begin this speech with a short introduction.”

“I am the bride’s brother, and the reason I stand here today is to deliver a brief wedding speech, which I hope is appealing enough to listen to. Anyway, on behalf of the bride and the groom, I now formally welcome you all in this celebration! I also wish to thank each and every one of you for finding the time to be here. I know that you took time off from your busy schedules and travelled a long way just to be here. We truly appreciate your efforts, your generosity, and your kindness. Once again, thanks.”

“At this point, I wish to address all the ladies in the hall and announce that I am single and available. So please feel free to sign up on this list, enclose a resume, and wait to be interviewed. Besides, I don’t think my mom and dad would mind having another wedding in the family anytime soon.”

“Kidding aside, let me congratulate the bride, my sister, and her groom on their wedding day! You two are perfect for each other, and you deserve the kind of love that you have right now. My only wish is that it will remain until forever. To end my speech, here’s a toast to you. To the bride and groom, may your love be as deep as the ocean and a strong as that diamond on my sister’s finger.”
